English Hadith - Part 1

1: The first of man's deeds for which he will be called to account on the Day of Resurrection will be Salah. (Tirmidhi)

2: Prophet (PBUH) used to say frequently in his bowing and prostrations,
"Subhanaka-Allahumma Rabbana Wabihamdika, Allahumma Ighfir-li". (Bukhari)

---

3: The strong man is not the good wrestler; the strong man is only the one who controls himself when he is angry. (Bukhari)

---

4: On the day of Resurrection, Allah will not look at the person who trails his robe behind him out of pride. (Bukhari, Muslim)

---

5: ...You should humble yourself to one another. One should neither hold himself above another nor transgress against another. (Muslim)

---

6: Whoever asks Allah for Jannah 3 times [Allahumma inni as'aluk al-Jannah], Jannah will say: "O Allah, enter him into Jannah. (Tirmidhi)

---

7: If anyone of you improves his religion then his good deeds will be rewarded ten times to seven hundred times for each good... (Bukhari)

---

8: When any one of you is engaged in prayer, he is holding intimate conversation with his Lord. (Muslim)

---

9: If anyone constantly seeks pardon [from Allah], Allah will appoint for him a way out of every distress...(Abu Dawud)

---

10: No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do. (Bukhari)

---

11: If someone leaves his seat (for one reason or another) and returns to it, he is better entitled to it. (Muslim)

---

12: Do not offer Salat (prayer) facing the graves and do not sit on them. (Muslim)

---

13: Nabi SAW said, "The blood, honour, and property of a Muslim is inviolable for another Muslim." (Muslim)

---

14: He who does not memorise any part from the Qur'an is like the ruined house. (Tirmidhi)

---

15: The world is the believer's prison and the infidel's Jannah. (Muslim)

---

16: All the people of my Ummah would get pardon for their sins except those who publicise them. (Muslim)

---

17: Glorify your Lord in Ruku and exert yourself in supplication in prostration. Thus your supplications are liable to be accepted. (Muslim)

---

18: The Prophet (SAW) said, "If you knew that which I know, you would laugh little and weep much." (Bukhari)

---

19: The Prophet (SAW) said, "The son of Adam grows old, but two (desires) in him remain young: desire for wealth and desire for life." (Muslim)

---

20: It is not permissible for a person to sit between two people without their permission. (Tirmidhi)

---

21: And the person who keeps telling lies and endeavors to tell a lie is recorded as a liar with Allah. (Muslim)

---

22: Do not try too much to acquire property or else you will be absorbed by being too enamored with the world. (Tirmidhi)

---

23: Wear white clothes because they are the purest and they are closest to modesty; and shroud the dead in it. (An-Nasa'i, Al-Hakim)

---

24: The Messenger of Allah supplicated: O Allah! Controller of the hearts, direct our hearts to Your obedience. (Muslim)

---

25: Richness does not mean having a great amount of property, but richness is self-contentment. (Bukhari)

---

26: Three du'as are answered without doubt. The du'a of the oppressed, the du'a of the traveller and the du'a of the parent for his son. (Abu Dawoud)

---

27: The Prophet (SAW) said, "In the presence of three people, two should not hold secret counsel, to the exclusion of the third." (Bukhari)

---

28: The sneeze is from Allah and the yawn is from Ash-Shaitan. So when one of you yawns let him cover his mouth with his hand. (Tirmidhi)

---

29: Blessing descends upon food in its middle, so eat from the sides of the vessel and do not eat from its middle. (Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud)

---

30: Gold and silk have been permitted for the females of my Ummah, and forbidden to the males. (An-Nasai)

---

31: The Prophet (SAW) said, "A man follows the religion of his friend; so each one should consider whom he makes his friend (Abu Dawud)

---

32: Fever is from the heat of the (Hell) Fire; so cool it with water. (Bukhari)

---

33: A Muslim whose three children die before the age of puberty will be granted Paradise by Allah due to his mercy for them. (Bukhari)

---

34: He who fights in order that the Word of Allah remains the supreme, is considered as fighting in the cause of Allah. (Bukhari, Muslim)

---

35: Signs of a hypocrite: When he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is trusted, he betrays his trust. (Bukhari)

---

36: The Messenger of Allah used to observe I'tikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan. (Bukhari, Muslim)

---

37: "Which deed is the best?" He (SAW) replied, "Faith in Allah and Jihad (fighting, struggle) in the Cause of Allah. (Bukhari, Muslim)

---

38: You will be rewarded for whatever you spend for Allah's sake even if it were a morsel which you put in your wife's mouth. (Bukhari)

---

39: Whoever fasts Ramadan, then follows it with six from Shawwal, then that is (equal in reward) to fasting every day. (Tirmidhi)

---

40: Umm Salamah narrated: "I didn't see the Prophet (PBUH) fasting two consecutive months except for Sha'ban and Ramadan. (Tirmidhi)

---

41: The Prophet said, "It is not righteousness that you fast on a journey. (Bukhari)

---

42: Whoever takes seven Ajwa dates in the morning will not be affected by magic or poison on that day. (Bukhari)

---

43: The Messenger of Allah said, "He who shows no mercy to the people, Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, does not show mercy to him. (Muslim)
